It seems impossible for the makers of Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No.1 to release the film according to the planned schedule which is on 1st May. The sources close to the film reveal that the film’s patchwork including a song and post-production work are yet to be completed.
With all the Bollywood industry coming to standstill because of the Coronavirus scare, the sources say that David Dhawan has taken a decision to postpone the release date of Coolie No. 1 from 1st May to May-end or perhaps June first week.
While David Dhawan hasn’t officially stated any changes in the film’s release date, his son Varun Dhawan has reacted to the news. When Varun Dhawan was quizzed about the postponement, he responded by saying, “I guess we are also reviewing the situation like everyone else at the moment.”
The hearsay states that Coolie No.1 is a crucial film for Varun Dhawan as his previous two films- Kalank and Street Dancer didn’t perform well at the Box Office. He doesn’t want to take a risk with the release of the film.
This hints that Varun and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No.1 might release after the situation ceases to normal.
Talking about Coolie No.1, the will be the remake of the 1995 movie of the same name, starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. The film was a blockbuster of the 90s, we hope that Varun Dhawan will also impress the audience by stepping into the shoes of Govinda.
