It’s confirmed! Gadar 2 is finally happening! Bollywood actor Sunny Deol made the big announcement on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. He took to his social media and told his fans that the sequel to his 2001 film ‘Gadar’ is in making.
Sharing a dramatic motion poster, he wrote, “After two decades the wait is finally over! On the auspicious day of Dusshera, Presenting to you the motion poster of #Gadar2. The Katha Continues..”

Helmed by Anil Sharma, the period drama will feature Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel back on screens together after 20 years. Ameesha has called it, “The biggest ever sequel in Indian cinema.”
The film will also star Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role alongside Sunny Deol. He is the son of director Anil Sharma, who made his first screen appearance as a child artist in Gadar.
Gadar 2 will be produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions, directed by Anil Sharma and written by Shaktimaan. The film will release in 2022.
