A case has been filed against Josh actor Sharad Kapoor by a 32-year-old woman at Khar police station in Mumbai. The woman alleged that Kapoor misbehaved with her and touched her inappropriately at his residence under the pretext of discussing a film project.
The complainant claimed she connected with Sharad Kapoor on Facebook, followed by video calls where he expressed interest in meeting her for a potential shoot discussion. He then shared a location, which she assumed was an office. However, upon arrival she discovered it was his house.

At the residence, the woman stated that a man opened the door and directed her to Kapoor’s bedroom. She alleged that Kapoor behaved inappropriately and forcibly touched her during the meeting. The victim also claimed that later in the evening she received a WhatsApp message from the actor containing foul language.
Following the incident, the victim narrated her experience to a friend who encouraged her to file a complaint. Based on her statement, an FIR was registered against Sharad Kapoor under sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman), 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (insult to the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita).

Sharad Kapoor, best known for his roles in movies like Josh, LOC Kargil, Jai Ho, Lakshya and more has had a long yet understated career in Bollywood. Despite his presence in several hit films, this is the first time Josh actor Sharad Kapoor has made headlines for the wrong reasons.
The authorities have assured that they are looking into the matter and will take appropriate action based on the findings.
