Chhorii is an upcoming Hindi horror film starring ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ fame Nushrratt Bharuccha. Amazon Prime Video dropped the film’s trailer yesterday.
At the trailer launch event, Nushrratt talked about her role and preparations for the film. While addressing the media, Nushrratt said at Chhorii trailer launch, “This film has been, by far, the most difficult film I have shot, physically and emotionally. I had to play an 8-months pregnant woman and I don’t know what it feels like to be a mother. So, I can’t understand the emotions of a pregnant lady. So, to say yes to a film where it was so difficult for me to reach a space, in itself really scared me.”
“When the film came to me, I really didn’t know what to do. I said that the actor in me really want to do this film, but I was very scared. But the one person who has held my hand through it all and I couldn’t have done it without, is my director Vishal Furia. He has taken me through physical, emotional and every journey possible. There were times when I couldn’t get the emotion right and he knew exactly what to say to me,” she added.
When asked about her preparations for the role, the actress told, “I started wearing the prosthetics belly 20-25 days before the shoot commenced. I would wear it 24*7, be it sleeping, eating, going to the washroom. I did this just to get the physical aspect of what it feels like to have an 8-months-pregnant belly.”
She further told that she talked to her mother, elder sister and friends to understand the emotions of being a mother and used the inputs while shooting for the film.
Chhorii will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 26 November 2021.
