Chhapaak to go tax-free in Madhya Pradesh says Cheif Minister Kamal Nath

Chief Minister Kamal Nath have also announced Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak tax-free in Madhya Pradesh and also in Chattisgarh

Deepika Padukone is delighted at her next movie Chhapaak. Today, the film directed by Meghna Gulzar enters the theaters and fans look forward to it. While the reviewers have already given the film a thumbs up, it is loved by the masses today. The buzz about the movie was great and now the makers are coming up with yet great news.

The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, tweeted that in Madhya Pradesh film will be tax-free. He also wrote,’ This film, that spreads a positive message about the treatment of victims of acid-attack in society, tells the story of their bravery, struggle and positive outlook on life and intends to bring about a change in the mindset of society on the same.’

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel wrote on twitter, “The film Chhapak is a film made to raise awareness about heinous acid attack crime against women, make it tax-free in the state … Go and watch with your family to support awareness.”

Chhappak is led by Meghna Gulzar and releases from some sections in the midst of a storm of boycott calls. Following Deepika’s visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University earlier this week to show solidarity by joining protesting students, calls to boycott the actor and her film have flooded on social media.

Nevertheless, there are also many fans, other Bollywood celebrities and political leaders who show their solidarity for Deepika and the film. On Wednesday, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar stated any artist can go anywhere and put forward his or her opinion.

Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak also was involved in a legal scuffle after Laxmi Agarwal’s lawyer Aparna Bhat claimed that she had not been given due credit to the plot by the production house. She took the case to a Delhi court that asked the producers today to give proper credit to Bhat and cleared the movie for release.
