Cannes 2022: Some of the biggest names of Bollywood will be seen appearing on the carpet of Cannes this year. According to the reports, after Deepika Padukone, Prithviraj actor Akshay Kumar, AR Rahman, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui amongst others will be seen gracing the festival this year.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur will lead the delegation from India to Cannes. The list of celebrities will also comprise stars from major music industries across India. The delegation will include actor-producer R Madhavan, Akshay Kumar, music composer AR Rahman, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pooja Hegde, and Nayanthara along with CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and music composer Ricky Rej amongst others.
The opening ceremony of the 2022 edition of the prestigious film festival will take place on May 27. Cannes is among the most prestigious film festivals in the world. It is held annually in the month of May in Cannes, France. The 10-day festival sees the biggest stars come down as some of the biggest and most critically-acclaimed films in the world are screened there.
This year, Deepika Padukone is among the members of the esteemed Cannes jury. The actress was recently spotted at the airport leaving for the festival. Deepika, who represents India at one of the world’s most prestigious film gatherings and one of the most widely publicized cultural events in the world, has a busy two weeks ahead from the 16th to the 28th of May. She will be there throughout the festival.
