After the murder of politician Baba Siddique on October 12, it has caused a huge stir in both politics and Bollywood, as he had close ties with the film industry.
Reportedly, an unknown caller reached out to the Bandra Mumbai Police, threatening to harm Shah Rukh Khan unless a large sum of money was paid. According to sources from India Today TV, the caller demanded several crores for the actor’s safety.
In response, the police quickly began an investigation and filed a case under Sections 308 and 351 of the BNS. Also, the Cyber Police Station joined the investigation and the call was traced to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Authorities are now looking for a suspect named Faizan Khan, whose phone has been used to make calls.
This threat comes just after Shah Rukh Khan receives another concerning report about his friend and colleague Salman Khan. On November 5, a threat message was received by Mumbai Police allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message demanded that Salman Khan either apologize publicly or pay ₹5 crore for his safety. Authorities have since arrested Bhikharam Jalaram Bishnoi in Karnataka in connection with the threat.
