Breaking: Kanika Kapoor Discharged From Hospital

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has finally been discharged from hospital after recovering from coronavirus.

Bollywood’s singing sensation Kanika Kapoor has finally been discharged from the hospital after she recovered from Coronavirus. She had tested negative in a test conducted on Saturday but the doctors waited and conducted another test to be assured that she has recovered before allowing her to go home.

Kanika had returned from London to Mumbai on March 9 and then traveled to Lucknow and Kanpur. After she showed symptoms of coronavirus, she was hospitalised in a hospital in Lucknow on Mar 20. Post this, the singer received severe backlash from media and the public for escaping mandatory quarantine and attending several social gatherings, thus, putting the lives of hundreds of people in danger. She even came in contact with several VIPs and politicians who were later tested for Covid-19.

An FIR was also registered against her by Lucknow Police. She even made news when she complained about the facilities in the hospital.

Recently, her family came out to reveal the details about what actually happened in the hospital. Talking to a leading publication, they said, “Kanika was given a change of clothes – a medical gown – and the doctors asked Kanika to change behind a curtain in the room. Kanika had expressed her displeasure over this, and later on, about the dirt in the quarantine ward, which she asked the staff to clean. On this, the PGI administration accused her of throwing starry tantrums.”

Kanika had earlier complained about hospital facilities saying, “I’ve been here since 11 am and all I’ve been given is a small bottle of water to drink. I’ve been asking these people to give me something to eat but I’ve only been given two small bananas and an orange that had flies on it. I am so hungry, I haven’t even taken the medicine that I was supposed to till now. I have fever, I’ve informed them, but no one has attended to me. The food I brought with me has been taken away. I can’t even eat anything that’s given to me as I am allergic to some foods. I am hungry, thirsty and I feel miserable here.”
