Brahmastra Witnesses Record Breaking Bookings Ahead Of National Cinema Day

Ayan Mukerji's film Brahmastra witnesses heavy bookings ahead of National Cinema day, and the film breaks its own advance booking trend.

Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra has emerged as a dry spell breaker at the box office. The film has managed to break several box office records to become a blockbuster in 2022. While just a day ahead of National Cinema Day the film witnessed a massive rise in its box office earnings, meanwhile it is also reported that the film has now broken its own advance booking record.

Brahmastra Breaks Its Own Advance Booking Records

As per a Hindustan Times report, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra has witnessed a massive surge in its bookings ahead of the National Cinema Day which is on 23rd September i.e Friday. Approx 12 Lakh tickets have been sold for Friday, 23rd September.

For the unversed, the viewers will get to watch any film in theatres for just Rs 75. Apart from Brahmastra, R Balki’s film Chup along with Avatar will be running at the theatres. Meanwhile, Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra which was released in the theatres on 9th September sold approx 9Lakh tickets on Friday, on the other hand, R Balki’s film Chup is reported to have sold 1.5 Lakh tickets.

On Thursday, the Multiplex Association of India said in a statement that cinemas were recording ‘sold out shows’ for National Cinema Day. The statement read, “A record number of moviegoers are expected to visit cinemas on Friday, September 23 to celebrate the National Cinema Day. The response to pre-sales has been unprecedented and September 23 is on course to become the highest-attended day of the year for cinemas across the country,”

The film has recorded stupendous earnings at the box office and has finally emerged as the dry spell breaker at the box office. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is expected to become the biggest hit of the year soon. With its second weekend, the film has now managed to enter the 200cr club domestically and has already crossed the 350cr mark with its worldwide collection.
