Before Brahmastra Release, Ranbir Kapoor Criticized For His Temple Dialogue In ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’

People are circulating a clip of Ranbir Kapoor from his film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" stating it as a 'vulgar joke' on Hindus.

Ranbir Kapoor’s fantasy fiction film Brahmastra is inching towards its release. However, the film has been facing negative hype as netizens announce a boycott. People have been digging up the past action and statements of the lead actors and quoting them as the reasons behind the boycott. While they criticized Alia for saying, “If you don’t want to, then don’t watch our films”, Ranbir faced backlash for admitting that he likes to eat beef.

And now, three days before the film’s release, people are circulating a clip of Ranbir Kapoor from his film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”. In the viral clip, Deepika Padukone asks Ranbir about kids, to which he replies, “Agar bacche chahiye to chalo mandir ke piche (If you want kids, let’s go behind the temple”.

Ranbir, who is already being labelled as ‘anti-Hindu’, is now being criticized for his Temple dialogue as well. A user said, They won’t show/mention any other place of worship of any other religion as Hindus are too happy to be made fun of,not rooted in their dharma or culture, would never protest on roads in large numbers Jago Hindu Least you can do #BoycottBrahmastra.”

Interestingly, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” was also directed by Ayan Mukerji.

Talking about Brahmastra, the film will hit the theatres on Sep 9. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
