Brahmastra is one of the highly anticipated upcoming Bollywood movies. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the upcoming movie include A-list Bollywood stars, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and more. The film is intended to serve as the first film in a planned trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe called Astraverse.
The movie is produced on an estimated budget of ₹300 crores (US$38 million), ₹500 crores (US$63 million) and Part One – Shiva is one of the most expensive Indian films to date. Moreover, Brahmastra is the first film produced under the Star Studios name following the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney. Ayan Mukerji has worked for years on developing Brahmastra and the movie has been in the headlines since day 1.
Just weeks ago, a few pictures of Shah Rukh gets viral on the internet claiming that the actor will play the role of ‘Vanarastra’ in the film. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo appearance in Brahmastra and it’s a special one. But deets about his character has been kept under tight wraps. The upcoming movie also raised controversy and even some social media users started to boycott the Brahmastra trend.
Recently, the reports are making rounds that Mouni Roy is apparently not the main villain of the upcoming sci-fi adventure, as reported by Bollywood Life. Mouni Roy has reportedly been said to be the lead antagonist of Brahmastra. She starred as Junoon in the movie. However, the rumoured lead antagonist of Brahmastra is someone whom fans never doubt.
According to a report by Bollywood Life, Alia Bhatt, who starred as Ranbir Kapoor aka Shiva’s love interest, Isha, in the film is said to be the main villain in the story. However, neither the makers nor the actors have confirmed the rumours but it will be exciting to see the lead actress turning into the main villain.
