Boney Kapoor Confirmed His Acting Debut In Luv Ranjan’s Untitled Project

After producing several films Boney Kapoor is all set to make his acting debut. At the age of 66, Kapoor is all geared up to give his acting skills a shot. The film producer will appear in Luv Ranjan’s next project also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Boney himself confirmed the news to a leading media portal.

The Indian film producer who will actor at the age of 66 was unwilling to try out new adventures. However, he later agreed and credits his son, daughters, and brother Sanjay Kapoor for pushing him beyond his restricted line. 

Speaking of his acting debut, Boney Kapoor verified the news to India Today. He said, “Initially, when Luv (Ranjan) offered me the film, I was reluctant to do it.” He went on to say, “Thanks to my son, my daughters, and my brother Sanjay Kapoor, they pushed me into it. And for me, when I got into it, the high was that I am getting to work with a unit that has great actors – Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia.”

He further added, “But the other high was that, in real life, Sridevi was my wife and in reel life, I was getting to play Dimple’s husband. That was another high. When we were young, Dimple was the heartthrob of all the youngsters around. To get to play her husband was also a high.”

Coming over to the untitled project by Luv Ranjan, the film is headlined by Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, and also stars Dimple Kapadia alongside Boney Kapoor. The shooting of the first schedule was wrapped up in Spain later the makers continued filming the second leg in Mumbai. The film title and release date remain unknown. 

Boney Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming production venture Mili. The survival thriller marks Boney and his daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s first collaboration. Alongside the Goodluck Jerry actor, the film also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa. Mili is a remake of the Telugu film Helen. Helmed by Mathukutty Xavier it will release in theaters on 4th November.
