The countdown for the 22nd edition of the IIFA Awards – International Indian film Academy has begun. The main event of the glamour is to be held on 4th June while the pre-event is scheduled for 3rd June. the star-studded event for the year 2022 will be hosted in Abu Dhabi at Yas Island. Bollywood celebrities have started arriving in Abu Dhabi for the glitz and glam night.
The stage is set and so is our energetic enthu performer Shahid Kapoor as he arrives in style for his power-packed performance at Nexa IIFA Awards 2022. Salman Khan was spotted at the Mumbai international airport along with Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday. Ritesh Deshmukh was also clicked with Genelia D’Souza along with their two sons Riaan Deshmukh and Rahyl Deshmukh. Nora Fatehi and Disha Patani also posed for the paparazzi.
Salman Khan dressed in a simple blue t-shirt, denim and jacket look as he left to host the 22nd edition of the Award Show. The Bhai of Bollywood is all geared up to host the main event on 4th June at Yas Island. Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul are ready to roll as the host with Salman Khan, while the pre-event will be co-hosted by Farah Khan and Aparsakti Khurana. The latter two have already reached United Arab Emirates to co-host IIFA Rocks.
On Wednesday, singers Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanushali, Zahra Khan, Asees Kaur, and Tanishk Bagchi also reached as they have to perform at the IIFA Rocks on June 3. Actors like Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Kartik Aaryan will light the stage with their performance on June 4th. Others listed to put the stage on fire include Shahid Kapoor, Nora Fathehi, and Divya Khosla Kumar.
This year IIFA will also welcome again Abhishek Bachchan after more than two years along with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Abhishek who will perform at IIFA 22 said: “IIFA is like family to me and it feels good to come back and perform after being disconnected physically for more than two years, celebrations help us unite.”
Aishwarya who attended Cannes last week added: “It has always been splendid to be a part of the IIFA Awards for years. Undoubtedly, it is the global event that both the Indian film industry and its well-wishers look forward to every year.”
Ranveer Singh is the brand ambassador of leisure and entertainment destination – Yas Island, which is to host the event. Earlier this year the host destination of the grand event launched ‘Yas Hai Khaas’ campaign with the Bajirao Mastani actor. UAE hosted the celebration before for the first time in 2006.
