For the past few months, Indian wrestlers have been protesting on the streets regarding security concerns. Wrestlers have been protesting against Wrestling Federation of India chief Bujbhushan Sharan Singh at Jantar Mantar for some time now. Recently, some pictures and videos went viral showing the wrestlers clashing with the police. While the citizens of the country have come down to support them, Bollywood celebs have kept their mouths shut on this. Now netizens have reacted to it, and celebs are being trolled badly.
Netizens are criticizing celebrities like Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, and others, saying that these people have appeared in films about Indian athletes like Dangal, Mary Kom, Chakk De!,’ ‘Saina Nehwal, and others, but when the country’s warriors are in trouble, they have kept the peace.
Netizens took to their Twiiter handles to show their dissatisfaction. One user wrote, “Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra.. all have run to play roles in movies based on stories of Indian sporting stars. Where are they now? The second user wrote, “All shameless opportunists like A.Khan,S.Khan,and others are reallly scared to open their mouths seeing some retaliation from ruling party.. why to take risk. This country has been in dictator’s hands for the last 9 years. really unfortunate.”
