Many celebs like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have made their names in the west, who’ve represented Bollywood and India as a whole with their talent and acting skills. When Hollywood producers and directors approached many Indian actors to work with them due to their fan following and popularity, these celebs turned down the films due to various reasons. 1. Hrithik Roshan

He was offered to play the role that was later played by Andy Garcia in “Pink Panther 2”, However, the actor rejected the proposal citing that he was unsatisfied with the character.

“Hrithik is a huge fan of Steve Martin and was excited to work with him, but the role offered was not substantial. He politely informed the producers that he wouldn’t be able to do it” a source close to the actor shared.

2. Akshay Kumar

Bollywood’s Khiladi was too made an offer to work in a Hollywood movie. The actor shared about this during one of the press events of his movie “Mission Mangal”.

“I wouldn’t say I’ve not been offered Hollywood films, but whatever came wasn’t big enough or that great. And I’m very happy doing films in Bollywood.” the actor said.

“If something very good and effective comes that lets me show my talent in a better way, I would love to do it,” he added.

3. Sharman Joshi

The “Golmaal” actor was allegedly offered a role in the popular show “Big bang theory” where he was supposed to play the character of ‘ Rajesh Koothrapalli’. The actor had even auditioned for the same but later declined the offer as he found it a bit underwhelming to play the character of a semi-mute.

4. Ajay Devgn

He was offered the character of an Ex Indian military officer in the movie ‘Expendables’ which also starred Stallone. The actor believed the remuneration that he was supposed to receive for his part was not worth spending almost a year in the US without his family.

5. Amitabh Bachchan

The superstar turned down the character of ‘Professor Godbole’ in the movie ‘Passage to India’ that was released in 1982 as he was unsatisfied with the remuneration that was being offered to him.
