The sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the whole nation and entertainment industry in utter shock. The Kai Po Che actor died of suicide on June 14, 2020, and condolences have been pouring in on social media for the late actor. Netizens and B-Town celebs paid tribute to Sushant by recalling some of the highlights of his life.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sonchiriya co-star Bhumi Pednekar who was deeply shocked by the news found a unique way to pay an ode to the late star. She joined hands with director Abhishek Kapoor’s wife Pragya‘s Ek Saath the Earth Foundation to feed 550 impoverished families. 

The Pati Patni Aur Woh star confirmed the news by saying, “I pledge to feed 550 impoverished families through the Ek Saath Foundation in the memory of my dear friend. Let us show compassion and love towards everyone that is in need, now more than ever.”

Post the news of Sushant’s death broke out, Bhumi took to her Instagram handle to share a few BTS photos with the 34-year old actor from the shoot of Sonchiriya at Chambal.  She accompanied the throwback photos with a gut-wrenching note that read, “Rest in Peace my friend…Shocked and Heartbroken…Still can’t believe it…To star gazing and our endless chats…am going to spot you twinkling bright up there with the rest cause you are and will always be a star my dearest SSR.”

Bhumi’s noble deed is truly commendable and it shows that she shared an amazing bond with Sushant. The whole nation is grieving on Sushant’s untimely death and it has led to a heated debate on nepotism existing in the Bollywood industry.
