This Rory Kennedy film was released in February 2022 and is available to stream on Netflix.

2. The Mountain Between Us

This 2017 adventure thriller casts iconic Idris Elba and Kate Winslet, who play the characters Alex and Ben, who are stranded in Utah Mountains after a plane crash. Together, they overcome the challenges faced by surviving on isolated snow-covered mountains. The film is available to stream on Disney plus Hotstar.

3. Sully- Miracle On The Hudson

With a star cast like Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney among others, the film revolves around captain Chesley, a commercial pilot, who makes an emergency landing on the Hudson River after his plane gets hit by birds. An investigation about the same proves to be fatal for the pilot’s career. The film was released in 2016 and is available to stream on Netflix.

4. Flight

This 2021 Indian adventure thriller film casts Mohit Chadda, Pavan Malhotra, and Shibani Bedi among others, directed by Suraj Joshi. The plot revolves around the journey of Ranveer Malhotra, who against all odds must fight the obstacles to survive after a deadly plane crash, that has killed many passengers. The film was released in 2021, after being postponed to avoid clashes with Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher have claimed the film to be good.

This 2020 mini web series starring Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapur is a sci-fi thriller that follows the life of CBI officer Shantanu Das, who is tasked with investigating a plane crash, that took place almost 35 years ago. The time travel in the 4 episodes long web series makes it even more interesting for the geek headed.
