Ayushmann at the start of his career was brave enough to choose unconventional and challenging scripts, choosing genres that many others wouldn’t dare to do. His outstanding acting in AndhaDhun even got him the National Award this year.
Talking about his upcoming film Dream Girl, Ayushmann will be seen essaying quite a unique role. Ayushmann in his interview also revealed that for the last three months, he worked hard only to bag the Best Actress nomination this year for Dream Girl. Even his co-star Nushrat Bharucha also claimed how she would also want him to win the award, to which Ayushmann stated that he is not sure of winning, but he wants a Best Actress nomination this year.
Ayushmann’s character in the film has a unique talent and makes the best use of it. His character as Pooja seduces men over phone calls and they immediately fall for her. And when Ayushmann claims that he is Puja, people refuse to believe him. Ayushmann also revealed that although the film is a masala one, it shouldn’t be viewed as frivolous film, as the film carriers a firm message about gender fluidity but in a fun way.
Post his film Dream Girl, Ayushmann will also be seen in ‘Gulabo Sitabo’and is yet to confirm which film he would do post that. He revealed that he wants to ensure a balance between his personal and professional life.
