Ayushmann Khurrana is known for nailing the unconventional roles with perfection but not many know about his connection with the Roadies. The actor before entering into Bollywood was a contestant on India’s popular TV show Roadies. Not only did he participate but also won the Roadies 2 title.
Looking back on his Roadies days Ayushmann said, “I am really surprised that I was in Roadies 15-years ago, and it’s the 17th season now.”
He further added, “I am glad that the show’s TRP increased later on. I am really proud of Ranvijay that he is taking it forward so well. I am a huge fan of Raftaar. Neha Dhupia, Nikhil Chinappa and Prince are all my old friends.” The actor later wished good luck to the team of Roadies.
When asked about would he like to be a part of the show again, Ayushmann said, “Kaash (I wish).”
On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana will be next seen in romantic-comedy movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Ayushmann will play a gay character in the film along with Jitendra Kumar.
Helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film also features veteran actors Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. The film also has Maanvi Gagroo and Manurishi Chaddha playing some pivotal roles. Actress Bhumi Pednekar is said to make a guest appearance in the film.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is the second installment of the 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While the first installment dealt with erectile dysfunction, the second installment will deal with homosexual relationships.
The coming-out film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will release on 21st February 2020.
