Ayushmann Khurrana Feels An Action Hero Is Genre Breaker, Won’t Convey Any Social Message

Ayushmann Khurrana gearing up for An Action Hero spoke on how the film is different than his previous projects

The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana upcoming film An Action Hero was released last week. Since then audiences are intrigued and waiting for the movie to hit theaters. Ayushmann who is known for opting content driven movies continues to set up the mark. This time he has chosen a different concept film. The actor gearing up for An Action Hero spoke on how the film is different than his previous projects.

An Action Hero is about a Bollywood Hero whose life turns upside down after he accidentally kills someone with his car. The movie will tell how his life is changed when someone tries to take revenge. Khurrana feels An Action Hero is a genre breaker for him as it is different from social comedy. After spreading out social messages through his movies the Vicky Donar actor has no message to convey with this Anirudh Iyer directorial.

According to PTI reports, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “An Action Hero is a genre breaker for me. It is different from my staple genre of social comedy and there is no message in it. There is pure thrill. It is a roller coaster ride. This film is about an extraordinary man in an ordinary situation. The emotion of revenge is an ordinary thing. But, if a superstar happens to be in that ordinary situation, how does he deal with it, is what this story is about.”

Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana the movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in the leading role. An Action Hero is a quirky cat-and-mouse chase between the hero and the commoner. It is actually Khurrana vs Ahlawat, both will be seen performing high-octane stunts. The actioner flick will release in theaters on 2nd December 2022.

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Doctor G alongside Rakul Preet Singh. The film didn’t perform well at the box office. Well, he is back with An Action Hero with expectations to make it big on screens. This will be his third film of 2022, including Anek and Doctor G.

In the pipeline, he has a sequel to his 2019 film, Dream Girl 2 with Ananya Pandey. He is also said to pair opposite Samantha Ruth Prabu in Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe. Reports suggest he will play the role of a vampire in Maddock Films.
