Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has created a lot of buzz amongst the audience prior to its release. The moviegoers are all geared up to witness a fresh concept of homosexual relationships on the big screen.
In the trailer we see Ayushmann and Jitendra share a kiss scene. In a recent interview, the actors were asked if they were concerned about CBFC editing out this scene as they have done it before when a guy and girl kiss. To which the Dream Girl actor replied, “It depends on the treatment. Our first aim was to make a film which is a wholesome entertainer and which is a wholesome entertainer and which you should watch with a family. It’s the texture of the film which isn’t vulgar. It is clean and that’s why Censor Board passed it.”
Talking about his chemistry with Ayushmann Khurrana in the film Jitendra Kumar said, “The concept and the Jodi are very fresh and that’s why people are more excited. When I watch the songs and our chemistry, it feels very different. We have always seen the male and female pair but this one is different.”
The actors then spilled the beans on the homophobic nature of the people in general and also about their first meet in 2009. They said that people should accept homosexual relationships just the way they accept any other male-female relationship.
Directed by Hitesh Kewalya Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also features Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, and Maanvi Gagroo. The film is slated to release on 21st February 2020.
