Ayan Mukerji Tweaked Ranbir and Alia’s Love Story In Brahmastra For OTT Release?

Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra continues to make headlines for its part two. Reports are speculating who would take up the lead role of Dev.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, Brahmastra: Part One Shiva has gained much success and has also managed to earn 400 crores at the box office. Post a good theatrical run the fantasy adventure drama is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra continues to make headlines for its part two. Reports are speculating who would take up the lead role of Dev.

On the streaming day of Brahmastra on Disney+ Hotstar Ayan Mukerji got into a conversation with Bollywood Hungama. During the interview, he spoke about much-talked part two of the trilogy. Not just that he also revealed that he has altered the film for the online release. After taking feedback from audience Ayan re-edited Shiva and Isha’s love story. He said, “It’s subtle stuff, so you may not realise it unless you’ve seen the film three or four times.”

Ayan Mukerji also spoke about the sequel, “The real antagonist of this trilogy is going to be one of the focal points. He’s going to bring with him a very passionate, dramatic, volatile energy… Part two will be a lot more dramatic, and juicy, and clash-oriented… The story will get a lot deeper, because we are not only straddling Dev and Amrita’s past story and Dev reborn in the present times, but also continuing Shiva and Isha’s story… There are more characters to deal with… Part two will be more of everything, more scale, more VFX, more astras, more drama…”

Addressing the rumors about whether Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh or Yash will play Dev in part two. Ayan Mukerji said, “I’m sure they’ll be saying Prabhas next. I can’t say anything about any of this stuff, but it’s fun.”

Brahmastra is a trilogy fantasy adventure film bankrolled by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions. The first part also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo. The film is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 4.
