Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra was undoubtedly one of the most hyped and much-anticipated films of the year. With almost 10 years spent in the making, the film has now finally been released in the theatres. While what has remained a highlight for many is Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in the film as Vanarastra, the actor has been highly praised by the viewers who have even started a “petition” demanding that a spin-off should be made only featuring him. While here’s good news for the SRK fans, as the Brahmastra filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has now confirmed the highly demanded spinoff of SRK, Here’s what he said-
Ayan Mukerji Addresses Petition For Spinoff Of SRK’s Character In Brahmastra
There’s absolutely no doubt that the SRK fans are totally in love with his cameo in Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra. For a fact, the viewers and the fans of the Bollywood superstar recently started an online petition demanding that a separate spin-off should be made on Shah Rukh’s character in Brahmastra.
The title of the online petition stated, “Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Brahmastra Spin-Off” while the petition read, “I request Dharma Production and director Ayan Mukerji to make a spin-off of Brahmastra on Mohan Bhargava, played by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.”
Responding to the petition, Brahmastra filmmaker Ayan Mukerji finally addressed the demand of the fans and audience and confirmed the spinoff of SRK’s character, Ayan told Indian Express, “Before the fans were saying it, we were also saying that ourselves. When we were shooting the sequence in 2019, we were also saying on sets. As we discovered the personality of the scientist, we said, ‘Yaar, we have to do stuff. We have to do the origins story of the scientist!’”
Ayan further mentioned that the team of Brahamstra has also agreed to the idea of the “spinoff” since the character of Shah Rukh shouldn’t be just a cameo in the film, he added, “We were also vibing on that frequency, my assistants and I. So, I guess my response to the spin-off demand is that: We are already thinking about it. We are hearing everything and are planning our next moves.”

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is a fantasy adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Karan Johar. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, in key roles, while actors Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo in the film.
