Bengaluru Police have detained Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor for allegedly consuming drugs at a party on Sunday. The police had received a tip about a rave party at a hotel on MG Road in the city. Among the other six people, Siddhant’s sample also returned positive. However, this is not the first time, apart from Siddhanth many other Bollywood celebrities have been embroiled in drug controversies.

- Aryan Khan
Shahrukh Khan’s elder son Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB on 3 October 2021. The Starkid had spent almost a month in jail as NCB arrested him during a drug raid on a cruise ship. Though Aryan was granted bail after spending almost a month behind the bars. On 27 May 2022, the NCB filed a charge sheet in the drugs-on-cruise case giving the star kid a clean chit.
2. Sushant Singh Rajput
Soon after Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death, the drug issue gained momentum, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, and her family members in Patna in July 2020 for abetment of suicide. Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty were accused to be part of a drug cartel that had supplied drugs to the actor.
3. Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, And Shraddha Kapoor
Following the Sushant Singh Rajput controversy, the NCB reached out to many Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and others to record their statements in connection with the agency’s probe into the matter. Television actress and comedian Bharti Singh along with her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa were also arrested by NCB in November.
4. Prateik Babbar
Prateik Babbar had said in an interview that his first brush with drugs was at the age of 13. Taking to the media the actor revealed, “My first real drug was a disturbed childhood. Constantly faced with an internal dilemma, the voices in my head debating where I belong and who I am, and drugs came disguised as a glitzy escape. As the years went by, I got acquainted with the narcotic underbelly, which led me to my first run-in with drugs at the age of 13.”
5. Sanjay Dutt
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt also had a long story linked with drug addiction the actor fought a nine-year battle with drugs. The actor was later sent to the USA for rehabilitation. In a BBC documentary titled ‘To Hell and Back’, Dutt said, “I have done every drug there is. I was already on drugs when my mother was being treated for cancer. Once during shooting for ‘Rocky’, I was so addicted that once I traveled with 1kg heroin hidden in my shoes.”
