When India observed Janata curfew amid Coronavirus outbreak on Sunday, several people came out of their houses on the streets in many cities from 5 pm to celebrate. Several Bollywood celebrities shared their disappointment as various videos of celebrations started to appear from different parts of the country and the whole plan behind the Janta Curfew was failed.

Celebrities such as Sonu Sood, Malaika Arora, Sonam Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Richa Chadha, Ronit Roy, Dino Morea, and Vir Das were upset with people for making the condition even worse now. Re-tweeting a thread of several street videos, Sonu said, Carona left India... they have a reason to celebrate. After seeing this even the virus will think “what if I get affected by their intelligence levels?” Better to leave this country.  I mean... do these people have their brains in place?

Just like this, the actors took to their social handle and shared the disappointment and reactions to the people coming out on the street to celebrate rather  ‘5 pm for 5 minutes’ clapping and cheering the healthcare professionals and first responders working in the midst of the coronavirus staying home.

Malaika Arora took to her Instagram story and wrote "This just makes me so angry. This has got to stop and the public made aware of the gravity of the situation. When will it sink in," while sharing a video of the crowd walking on the street.

As part of the Janta Curfew initiative, Narendra Modi had encouraged people to come out at 5 p.m. on the balconies of their homes and beat thalis or clap to cheer for the workforce but stay indoors for a period of 14 hours as part of social distancing in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
