Sara Ali Khan garnered a lot of fan following after her successful debut in the 2018 film Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Her successful debut was followed by the grand success of her second film Simmba the same year. Although the young actress didn’t have a single film release in 2019, she was still in the headlines; sometimes because of her rumored affair with Kartik Aaryan and sometimes because of their much-awaited film together Imtiaz Ali directed Love Aaj Kal.

But sadly, the much-awaited Love Aaj Kal didn’t receive any good feedback from the critics and as well as from the audience. The trailer of the film was the first one to become a meme fest and later followed the netizens criticizing the actors, especially Sara Ali Khan. The Simmba actress was called out for her lack of expression while dialogue delivery.

Recently in an interview, while speaking of the response Love Aaj Kal got, Sara, said, “I have always maintained that as an actor, I think my job is done before the release of the film.”

When asked about the bashing she received on social media for her dialogue "Tum Mujhe Tang Karne Lage Ho", she said, “I am totally fine now. Whenever you see something different, it is immediately jarring. Somewhere down the line, the archetypical heroine cries beautifully. She has to be a bit demure, coy, beautiful, aesthetic, even in her most emotional and vulnerable scenes.” She further added that her character looks ugly when she cries; she is loud and aggressive because people can be that.

She then gave a befitting reply by saying that people try their best to bring you down for the sake of it, you have to take it and move forward.

Sara Ali Khan has a long way to go in Bollywood and with such an attitude she surely can handle all the bad remarks with positivity. On the work front, Sara will be next seen in David Dhawan directed Coolie No.1 alongside Varun Dhawan.
