Bollywood movies often make news for hurting the religious sentiments of a certain group of people. And mostly, Bollywood is accused of pushing Islamophobia by portraying Muslims in the bad light. In a recent interview, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan revealed how she made a conscious effort that the villain of her film 'Main Hoon Na' wasn't a Muslim. The 2004 film 'Main Hoon Na' was directed by Farah Khan and starred Shah Rukh Khan, Suniel Shetty and Sushmita Sen. The role of the villain named 'Raghavan'  was played by Suniel Shetty.

Farah told that she chose the surname 'Khan' for the character that played the antagonist’s right-hand man who chose country over terrorism on finding out about Raghavan’s true intentions.

Farah went on to reveal more interesting facts about the film. She told that Ayesh Takia was the first choice to play Sanjana's role who played Zayed Khan's love interest. But she had to walk out of the film as she had also signed Imtiaz Ali's film 'Socha Na Tha' opposite Abhay Deol. Due to her busy schedule, Farah had to rope in Amrita Singh 10 days before the shoot began.

Farah also wanted to make a sequel of 'Main Hoon Na'. But she later dropped the idea as she felt that there are more interesting stories that are needed to be told. Seems like Farah has taken the right decision as some classic films are better not touched.
