Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most ambitious project, Inshallah starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt went haywire just when the film was ready to go on floors. For reasons yet unknown, Salman Khan walked out of the movie which was set to release on Eid, 2020 leaving fans disappointed! And because of all this, the film is shelved for the time being. After the entire Inshallah fiasco, Alia who was yet a part of the project was offered another movie, where she was reported to play a lead role in the film.

But the most recent development about their second project may seem like a disappointment to fans. No,  Alia hasn't walked out of the project, nor is the film being shelved or anything, but  Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was all ready to shoot for the film approached  Ranveer Singh for an important cameo. But it is now reported that Ranveer turned down this offer by the filmmaker. It is speculated that his refusal has also left his  Gully Boy co-star Alia pretty miffed. But as nothing is yet confirmed, the truth lies between the filmmaker and these actors. But this news surely comes as a shock as Ranveer has collaborated with SLB in the past for three films, including Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

Ranveer on the work front completed filming for Kabir Khan's'83 where he will be seen playing Kapil Dev in the film and the film is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020. He will soon start filming for Karan Johar's multi-starrer Takht. While Alia will be seen opposite her beloved Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra while she is also currently filming for Sadak 2 with father Mahesh Bhatt.
