You must be familiar with characters like Circuit from the Munna Bhai series and Babban in Ishqiya, the actor Arshad Warsi won the hearts with these roles of viewers. He was recently seen in the original of Voot Select 'Asur' where he plays the role of an official at the CBI. His success was so much loved by fans that they are already requesting a sequel to the series.
Arshad took to his twitter handle after this digital debut and shared how he's disappointed that his films are not well received at the box office.
Arshad Warsi took to the microblogging site on July 3 and expressed that he was upset because the audiences were not receiving his films well. In an answer to the trade analyst Joginder Tuteja 's tweet about Arshad Warsi 's movie Guddu Rangeela, he expressed his concerns.
Joginder Sharma posted on twitter about the movie completing five years and also added that the movie should have been a hit. Arshad quoted Tuteja's tweet, sharing how he shares the same feelings, too. He also discussed how results did not show up at the box office no matter what he does.
Through his tweet, Joginder Sharma said the film Guddu Rangeela completed five years and yet he can't believe the action-comedy film hasn't made its target. He then added that Guddu Rangeela starring Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh, and Aditi Rao Hydari, with Ronit Roy playing the antagonist he should have done well in the box office.
And how the script, directed by Subhash Kapoor, was something else in the commercial space and added to how he still remembers the climax shot. In its opening weekend, the film Guddu Rangeela received some 5.82 crores and then witnessed a dip in ticket sales. Take a look here at both the tweets:
My sentiments exact... it’s like no matter what I do, it’s not good enough for the box office... https://t.co/CssUxOVZIC— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) July 3, 2020
#5YearsOfGudduRangeela - I still believe this action comedy didn’t get its due. This one with @ArshadWarsi @TheAmitSadh @aditiraohydari should have worked at the BO. Dir @subkapoor tried to make something different in the commercial space. Still remember the iconic climax shot pic.twitter.com/B2skTnqgTX— Joginder Tuteja (@Tutejajoginder) July 3, 2020
Arshad Warsi made his Bollywood debut in the 1996 movie Tere Mere Sapne and was lauded for his film success. Yet most of the films he's performed as a lead actor at the box office have been bombed. At the same time, however, his appearances in supporting characters have given him considerable popularity and recognition.
