Yesterday, the whole of the nation mourned and appalled by the horrific killing of a pregnant elephant in Kerala. Many B-Town celebs too condemned this brutal incident of animal cruelty and many took up the cause.

Akshay Kumar too has joined the forces against animal cruelty and has demanded strict action against those who were involved in this horrific act of killing the innocent creature. From Anushka Sharma to Shraddha Kapoor, everyone was left shocked by the incident that took place in Kerala.

Akshay took to his Instagram to express his thoughts over the killing of a pregnant elephant by feeding it with pineapple filled with explosives. The Kesari actor mentioned in his tweet that he feels that humans are wilder than animals, and was extremely heartbroken by the news of the innocent creature’s killing. Akshay demanded justice and wanted action against those responsible for the offense. Many other celebrities have posted on twitter about the same and shared heartbreaking pictures of the incident.

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Maybe animals are less wild and humans less human. What happened with that #elephant is heartbreaking, inhumane and unacceptable! Strict action should be taken against the culprits. #AllLivesMatter.” 

Post the incident, several celebrities have signed an online petition seeking action against those responsible for the gruesome crime. Post the news went viral, a probe has been ordered into the matter and a manhunt was launched in the state to catch and bring to justice those responsible for the brutal incident. As per sources, an FIR has also been registered in the matter.
