Actor Aamir Khan has called-off Laal Singh Chaddha’s Ladakh schedule after the India-China clash in the Galwan Valley. The makers were to shoot a major chunk of the movie in Ladakh starting from this October but they have cancelled the same following the military stand-off.
Aamir Khan has been shooting for the much-awaited adaption, Laal Singh Chaddha in many parts of the country. The makers had completed their shooting schedule in Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Rajasthan, and Kolkata. They had to indefinitely halt the shooting due to the nationwide lockdown imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In wake of the India-China clash, Aamir Khan and co-producer Viacom 18 decided to call-off the Ladakh schedule. Reports state that the makers are considering Kargil as their new venue for shooting. The final call about the same will be made in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan and the rest of the Laal Singh Chaddha team won’t resume shooting till October. A source close to the development has revealed that the team doesn’t want to risk anyone’s life due to the ongoing pandemic. Pertaining to all the reasons Aamir has decided not to resume the shoot. Due to the same reason the Dangal actor has also decided to move the shooting away from the area of conflict and tension.
Directed by Advait Chandan, the story of the film is written by Atul Kulkarni. It will be bankrolled by Viacom 18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions.
The film was originally slated to release on Christmas 2020, but it will be delayed due to the given circumstances and challenges. The makers might gear up for a 2021 release.
