Excellent Story and Screenplay

The story begins with Tanhaji's father dying in war. Before dying, he asked Tanhaji to promise that he will fight for Swaraj(Freedom). Right from the beginning the efforts of engrossing the audience in the actual happening of the past is done quite well. The story is fascinating at the same time tells you about the bravery of Tanhaji. An amazing story that is backed by a fast-paced screenplay.

Great Direction

The film is directed by Om Raut who is a well-known personality in the Marathi film industry and this is his first Hindi film. He has managed to handle the film quite well and has delivered a very well made product. Tanhaji’s Valor and Charisma are shown in every frame and credit goes to his imagination and his direction.

Amazing Acting performance

Saif as Udaybhan has done a great job. In this negative avatar, he really shows how good he is in a negative shade as well. Ajay Devgan has always been known for being a good actor. He gave a very powerful performance. Sharad as Sivaji has done an excellent job. He looks just like Shivaji Maharaj. Kajol has very little to do but she did well.

Awesome Music

The music really gives out the festive vibe and one really enjoys dancing to its rhythm. The movie has two songs. The background score sounds amazing and it also enhances the effect of every scene in the film.

VFX and cinematography

3D effects are great and few fight scenes will really blow your mind. VFX is really great and one of the best VFX seen in recent times. But the major highlight of the film is its cinematography. The camera work is outstanding.
