Anupriya Spills All About Being Sexually Harassed In Adult Age

Talented actress Anupriya Goenka is one of the slowly emerging current generation Bollywood film actress who has also been successful enough in creating a different niche for herself in this industry with her brilliant and power packed performances in films like YRF Films Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (2018), and YRF Films War (2019) where all these three films have been commercially successful blockbuster films and there has been no looking back for her since then. Currently seen in the hit webseries Aashram (Mx Player, 2020) directed by Apaharan (2005) and Gangajal (2003) fame Prakash Jha, during her recent interview with a leading Indian digital entertainment portal, Anupriya spills all about being sexually harassed in adult age.

If we see, then it is indeed true that in Bollywood, often the star kids and other Bollywood actors don’t like speaking about these integral and personally conflicting topics in front of the media or in public since it puts them in a tight and trickily difficult spot which is the reason that they avoid saying it out loud. But it is very nice to see that the tide is changing for the good now where coming clean and going open about the same, during her recent interview, Anupriya spills all about being sexually harassed in adult age.

Speaking about it in detail during the interview she told, “My father was extremely spiritually inclined. My definition of spirituality is believing in the universe, believing in the existence of some external force that is above us, believing in good thoughts and doing things to help others. I like to believe there’s God as it makes me feel better. But for my dad, spirituality was always finding babas and godmen, going completely berserk and dedicating one’s self to a certain aastha. He lost focus and it harmed the family as it incapacitated him to work and put all of us in a difficult spot”.

When she was asked about her entire horrific ordeal and experience with the spiritual leader, Elucidating on the same, she said, “My family trusted him very heavily. Even I had started to believe in him. He sounded reasonable and said just the right things, he sounded very practical. But he tried to take advantage of me. I was 18 then. That scarred me for a very, very long time. Thankfully, I did not let him take advantage. I was able to escape the situation. I knew I had to hear my instincts, though I had to fight them for a while. I had started to see signs and gauged from prior meetings that something was amiss. I kept doubting myself because I had believed in him for so long and didn’t think it was possible”.

On the work front, currently the stunning actress is going to be seen next in the nationally hit and critically acclaimed hit webseries Aashram’s sequel, titled Ashram Chapter 2: The Dark Side, which is directed by ace director Prakash Jha and stars Bobby Deol in the lead role of the shrewd and vile godman.
