Anupriya Goenka won hearts in the recently released web-series Aashram. She played the role of Dr. Natasha, a forensic expert in this MX Original Series.
In a recent interview, she revealed that she never auditioned for the role and she was signed over a phone call. Goenka said that when she came to know that it was Prakash Jha’s project, she immediately gave a nod.
Anupriya Goenka shares her experience working in Aashram:
She said, “For me, the best part of ‘Aashram’ was getting to work with Prakash Jha. I’ve always revered his films and have been a very big fan of his work.”
She further added, “He picks up socially relevant subjects and has a way of telling them in the most unbiased and entertaining manner. That is what he has done with ‘Aashram’. It’s been such an opportunity to not just learn from him about the craft but also to know him as a person. Needless to say, a huge chunk of the credit for its big success goes to him and his brilliant vision.”
Aashram is a crime drama web-series directed and produced by Prakash Jha. The series star Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman and many others in pivotal roles. was made available for streaming on OTT platform MX Player for free from 28 August 2020.
Prior to Aashram, Anupriya was seen in superhit films like War, Padmaavat and Tiger Zinda Hai. She has also worked in web-series Sacred Games and Criminal Justice.
