In a shocking series of events, actor Anupam Kher’s image was used on a fake Indian currency notes, duping a man in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad region. Reportedly, a trader was frauded by a bunch of fake 500-rupees notes. After the complaint was lodged and the news reached the man, Anupam Kher himself – he has given his reaction on the same.

Trader Scammed By Fake Currency Notes In Gujarat
A bullion trader named Mehul Thakkar was duped by scammers with around Rs. 1.3 crores cash, claiming that they would be providing the pending 30 lakhs on the following day. The trader, was mistaken to see that the notes had Anupam Kher’s image imprinted on it, instead of Mahatma Gandhi. Sharing one of those viral videos, actor Anupam Kher took to his, expressing his surprise on the same. He tweeted about how scammers have used his image for the counterfeiting of notes, anything is possible at this current time. While netizens found it funny and laughingly passed it out, others showed disappointment and rage at the same time on this unexpected act.
Not only the notes had the actor’s image as a sign of counterfeiting, but, the term RBI that stands for ‘Reserve Bank Of India’ was replaced with ‘Resole Bank of India’, and State Bank of India, was fraudly termed as ‘Start Bank of India’. Moments after the news of this scame went public, several videos showing fake currencies went viral on social media. Upon filing the complaint, the Navrangpura Police Station, Ahmedabad immediately took action. Based on the suspects, four individuals were arrested while the investigation still continued.
