Anupam Kher Mourns The Demise Of Pakistani Comedian Umer Sharif

Actor Anupam Kher took to his social media and expressed his grief on the demise of Pakistan's legendary comedian Umer Sharif.

Legendary comedian Umer Sharif passed away in Germany on Oct 2 after battling serious health problems. He was 66. He had undergone a heart bypass surgery last year and since then, his condition had deteriorated further. He was also diagnosed with memory loss and was confined to a wheelchair.

His sad demise left his admirers across the borders in deep grief. Bollywood actor Anupam Kher expressed his grief on social media. He posted a video of himself on Instagram and said that although it is a huge loss, his life must be celebrated.

He said, “My heart is filled with grief and sadness after hearing the news of Umer Sharif’s demise. There are very few personalities on Earth who just spread laughter and happiness and Umer Sharif Sahab was one of them. My condolences to his fans around the world and his family members. We feel sad about his demise, but it is necessary that we celebrate his life. I was really very sad by his demise, just like crores of his fans. But the person who makes the world laugh can never be forgotten.”

Anupam wrote in the caption, “Goodbye Janab #UmerShareef Saab…Deeply saddened to know about the demise of the legendary comedian, actor and humanitarian #UmerShareef Saab. He was a legend in the true sense! Met him in London many years back. His effortless humour was infectious. Learnt a lot from him. May almighty give his family and fans the courage to deal with the loss.”

Popular Indian comedian Kapil Sharma also expressed his grief on Twitter. He wrote, “Alvida Legend. May your soul rest in peace.”
