US based Indian origin fashion designer and humanitarian Anjali Phougat’s chat show Just A Conversation is all about highlighting the inspiring journey of people from different walks of life. Recently, popular singer Sonu Nigam was a guest on the show. While the episode was a hit among the audience, Anjali shares that she had a wonderful time talking to the artist and throwing more emphasis on same, she said, “Sonu Nigam is a talented and amazing person. His journey is showbiz is quite fascinating. He has been doing a lot of good work for the betterment of the people of India. Even right now he’s engaged with various initiatives like blood and plasma donation drives, providing oxygen supply to people infected by the virus and so on. It’s been few months that he has been staying in India and been associated with many such noble causes”.

Describing the singer as opinionated and humble, she adds, “He is very straightforward person yet extremely down-to-earth. It is a rare and interesting combination. He is quite knowledgeable”.

An admirer of Sonu Nigam’s songs, Anjali lists her favourites that include Kal ho naa ho, Sandese Aate Hai (Border), Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein), Main Agar Kahoon (Om Shanti Om), Abhi Mujhe Mein Kahin (Agneepath) and Saathiya (Saathiya).  After this in-depth conversation, Anjali now harbours the wish of meeting the singer in person. “Who wouldn’t want to meet him? He is not just a singer but a wonderful human being. By God’s grace when things get normal, he has plans to travel to US for concerts and I also will visit India. So we would try and meet then if things fall into place”, she shares.
