Anil Kapoor has built a name in Bollywood with his great acting skills. He is loved for the energy and enthusiasm he has even at the age of 65. In the initial days of his career, Anil faced struggling days despite being a son of film producer Surinder Kapoor. In a recent interview, the actor recalled doing odd jobs that include looking after actors, picking up them from the airport and dropping them to location, and more.
Anil debuted as an actor with ‘Woh 7 din’ in 1983. Completing 39 years in the industry, he worked as a spot boy before making big in films. He also revealed that he started working when his father suffered heart issues. He was then 17-18 years old when he decided to start working and tapped into production jobs.
Anil Kapoor himself accepted the fact during an interview. He said: “I wouldn’t call them odd jobs because I just loved doing them, like waking up the actors and then picking them up, fetching them from the airport, dropping them to the location, looking after them, getting the right snacks and then the tea breaks that we used to call nashta, so all these kind of odd jobs I did. Then, of course, I was upgraded to doing a bit of shopping for hardware for the shoot and then scouting locations, fixing and negotiating the prices for the locations.”
Anil then also talked about being a casting director and said, “Then I was upgraded to becoming the casting director. If you see Hum Paanch, I’m the casting director there. That’s the first time my name appeared in the titles because I really helped in the casting of the film.”
On the work front, Anil Kapoor was last seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani. The film backed by Karan Johar under Dharma Production has entered the 100 crore club at box office. He will next appear in Fighter and Animal.
