Anil Kapoor Reveals The Name Of Films He Did Only For Money

Anil Kapoor talked about the time when he did a few films only for money as his family was in crisis.

When an actor signs a film, he doesn’t always look for money. He also takes into consideration other factors like his character, the storyline and the crew he is going to work with! But sometimes, the actors have to sign films only to earn some cash because of their financial constraints.

And this is what once happened with Anil Kapoor. Anil has had a fabulous career graph who never ran out of work, and who gave super-hit films. But there was a time in his life as well, when he had to do certain films only for the money.

It happened when the 1993 film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja made with a budget of Rs 9 crores massively flopped at the box office. The film starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi and was produced by Anil’s brother Boney Kapoor. Recalling the time, Anil says, “…the family was in a crisis and each one of us did what we had to do for survival, out of a sense of responsibility.”

He then did a few films only for money. These films were Andaz and Heer Ranjha. Anil says that he has now moved forward from those difficult times but he would not think twice before doing whatever is required for the family, if they face bad times again.
