This noted bollywood film producer’s much awaited film Chehre’s official trailer was launched in March 2021 which was received really well by audiences and fans and then second deadly wave of COVID 19 pandemic plagued world which caused the theatrical release plans to be put on a hold indefinitely and now in a recent interview, Anand Pandit gives new update on Amitabh-Emraan starrer Chehre.
In his latest chat interview whilst opening up on release plan for much awaited thriller film Chehre, Anand Pandit gives new update on Amitabh-Emraan starrer Chehre.
Directed by ace film maker Rumy Jafry which was originally set to be released in theatres on 9th April 2021, in the new conversational interview, Anand Pandit gives new update on Amitabh-Emraan starrer Chehre.

Chehre has an aptly selected ensemble star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Anu Kapoor and others in leading roles which also marks the big bollywood debut of stunning TV star Krystle Dsouza in film industry and also has late bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in a small role too.
The film’s original release date had to be pushed ahead due to rising number of coronavirus cases in India. Anand Pandit’s other production The Big Bull featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Ileana Dcruz and also Nikita Dutta in leading roles, opened up with really good response on the popular OTT streaming platform Disney Hotstar in April and he admitted that his experience with the medium and digital OTT platform has been really good.
When asked about any new updates in case of his much awaited film Chehre, Anand shared, “I am optimistic that things will get better in a few months and we are confident that people will go back to the theatres. We are a little bit adamant because we are confident that people will love this film in theatres and it will be better in a theatre experience. So, we are holding on to a theatrical release and I am sure, we will be releasing this film in the next two-three months”.
Talking about this film and why it’s so close and special to him out of all his other films so far, Anand says, “It is a beautifully narrated story and people will connect to it even though it is fictitious. Mr Bachchan wanted to make this film for many years, so it is very near to his heart as well. One day he called me saying that he wants to make this film and he wants me as a producer on it. It was a dream come true as nothing can be better than the superstar of the century asking you to be a part of something”.
Talking about how final product of the film has panned out brilliantly just like the way he envisioned it to be, Anand asserted, “This is a very well-made film and it will be a very beautiful experience for the audience. It is a very different type of entertainment and the audience will see a glimpse of the old Hindi filmmaking style in it. Mr Bachchan and Emraan have obviously done great work but apart from them, Anu Kapoor ji, Dhritimaan Chatterjee sir, Raghubir Yadav ji, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D Souza and Siddhanth Kapoor have also done a good job along with our director Rumy Jafry”.
