Amitabh Bachchan Pens Heartfelt Note For Late Vikram Gokhale And Tabassum, ‘They Played Their Parts And Left The Stage Empty’

Amitabh Bachchan paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor Vikram Gokhale and TV personality Tabassum who passed away this month

Amitabh Bachchan paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor Vikram Gokhale and TV personality Tabassum. The megastar penned an emotional note for the two celebrities who passed away this month. Vikram Gokhale took his breath on November 26 while Tabassum died on November 18. 

Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “The days are lined with sadness, friends and colleagues, artists of huge merit, leave us day by day and we listen, see and pray, Tabassum, Vikram Gokhle and some dear ones that are close and known. They came to us in our lives, they played their parts and left the stage empty forlorn and desolate by their absence.”

He further added, “they all leave us one by one… and it is beyond comprehension… you only recollect the times of their presence and life before the eyes and the mind… and they ever remain an image of the time… unchanged, unfettered and in the freedom of free… and then they leave, and it cannot be fathomed.”

For the unversed, Vikram Gokhale was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital in Pune days before he died. The reason behind his demise is noted as multiple organ failure. The veteran actor who is notable for his roles in Marathi and Hindi films breathed last at the age of 77. 

On the other hand, Tabassum died earlier in the month on 18th November. She passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 78. She was an Indian actress, talk show host, and Youtuber. Starting her career as a child actor she became a host of the popular Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan.

Amitabh Bachchan and Vikram Gokhale worked together on two Bollywood films in their career namely Agneepath and Khuda Gawah. They have also shared the screen in a Marathi film titled AB Ani CD. In the movie, Amitabh played himself while they were seen as childhood friends.
