Amitabh Bachchan is set to headline Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom thriller ‘Section 84’.
The actor took to his Twitter to make the official announcement. Sharing the announcement post, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “a delight once again to be in the company of distinguished creative minds for this new venture , and the challenge it provokes, for me #Section84 @ribhudasgupta @RelianceEnt @FilmHangar #SaraswatiEntertainment @jiostudios (sic).”
After feel good movie like Uunchai, Amitabh will once again return to serious courtroom drama. 80-year old actor has earlier played lawyer in films such as Pink (2016) and Runaway 34 (2023).
Section 84 will mark Amitabh Bachchan and Ribhu’s third collaboration after mini tv series Yudh and Te3n (2016). In his press statement, Ribhu Dasgupta said, “I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again. Looking forward to it.”
The details about the film’s plot and other cast members is kept under wraps for time being. Section 84 is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
