This is a big relief that now Bollywood is seen getting back into its normal grind and curve of shooting their respective forthcoming films with their filming crew and actors after the unlock phase IV that took place in India amidst the ongoing COVID 19 global pandemic but is also adhering to the precautions along with strict rules and regulations keeping in mind the on going global coronavirus pandemic which has still not stopped and is in its full force.
This is being done to ensure the safety of the actors, production house, filming crew where they are wearing masks, sanitizing themselves, drinking water to keep themselves hydrated, wearing gloves and maintaining social distancing as well while shooting on the film sets is taking place.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most eagerly anticipated ambitious project “GanguBai Kathiawadi” has been loosely inspired and adapted into a film based on one of the chapters from author Hussain Zaidi’s novel, “Mafia Queen’s Of Mumbai”.
The story of the film will revolve around the plot where Alia will be seen playing the role of the madam of a brothel owner who has gangsters as her clients. Alia plays the main leading title role in the film. This movie is going to be a biographical crime drama saga.
We have also seen how the Alia made several frequent visits to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office in Mumbai before resuming the film shoot again.
As per the latest news media reports, the actor has resumed the film shoot and is doing night shifts for the same. The film shooting is taking place currently in Mumbai’s film city. Where there are several strict guidelines to be followed for shooting amidst the pandemic.
A source involved in the film’s development was quoted telling a leading newspaper publication that, “To maintain continuity, Sanjay sir picked up the shoot exactly from where he had left it. Since 1st October, Alia and the team have been reporting to the set by 7 pm, and the stint goes on till the wee hours of the morning. Although a part of the grand set had been pulled down ahead of the monsoons, the portion resembling Kamathipura had been left untouched. So, the director has been able to shoot without any hiccup.”
The source furthermore also added that a song sequence which is important in the film had been shot earlier and there is much more to come.
He explaining the same said that, “A 50-member team, including the cast, has been hand-picked for this schedule that will see Sanjay sir wrap up Alia’s scenes. While television actor Shantanu Maheshwari had filmed his song before the lockdown, the shoot of two more tracks is on the cards”.
