The rumour mill has been churning out gossip that Alia Bhatt has decided to opt-out of SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited RRR. The hearsay suggests that Alia has decided to drop out of the film because of the scramble for dates. The 27-year old actress already has a few films in her kitty and the shooting for the same will resume once the makers get a green signal.
Meanwhile, some sources close to Alia have completely refuted the rumour of the actress walking out of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The sources have claimed that the information is misleading and are doubting where all of it actually came from. It said, “Where did that come from? From someone who would like nothing better than to replace Alia in the Rajamouli film? The fact is, Alia is just waiting for the lockdown to be over to work out the dates. She and Rajamouli are in touch with one another and are looking at various possibilities to continue shooting the soonest.”
Speaking of Alia Bhatt’s project post the lockdown, she has three films underproduction. The films include Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2, and SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The source said, “Once the lockdown ends Alia would be one of the first Bollywood A-listers to start shooting. She has no choice.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The much-awaited film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan as the main leads alongside Alia Bhatt. The film was slated to release on December 4, 2020, but a delay in the release date seems inevitable as the major chunk of the film is yet to be shot.
Alia Bhatt will be essaying the role of Sita in RRR alongside Ajay Devgn who too has a pivotal role in the film. Alia and Ajay are guest stars in the SS Rajamouli’s film but their presence is necessary for the plot line to unfold.
