The Maharashtra Government has issued some guidelines which everyone on the sets has to adhere to when the shooting begins.

Meanwhile, it seems like when the permission would be granted, Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi may be the first one to roll. With monsoons to start in Mumbai, many sets will suffer damages. The makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi have already begun covering the sets with rain covers to protect it from the rains. The set of the film has been erected in Film City, Mumbai.

The set of the movie is estimated to be the worth of Rs. 6 crores and the movie is one of the much-awaited films of 2020. Earlier it was announced that the set of the film will be demolished n order to avoid the monsoons. A source close to the development has revealed that that the set has been built with keeping in mind intricate details.

The film is based on the life the Madam of Kamathipura in the pages of history, who was pushed into prostitution at an early age, and later become an extremely influential person in her field with numerous gangsters as her clients.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is slated to release on September 11, 2020, but the release date might get postponed given the shooting it still pending.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Brahmastra alongside beau Ranbir Kapoor and legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The film is likely to miss its release date pertaining to the on-going situation.
