Among the much-awaited movies of 2021 is the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi. Helmed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by Hussain Zaidi. In the movie, Alia is going to essay a bold role owing to the demand of the story.
However, now Gangubai Kathiawadi has landed into legal trouble. A case has been filed against Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali raising objections to the story by the family members of Gangubai. Not only that, but Hussain Zaidi himself also has allegedly filed a case against the makers of the movie.
More detail about the same isn’t available yet but troubles seemed to have mounted for the Gangubai Kathiawadi team. For the unknown, Alia Bhatt is going to play the role of a brothel owner and a matriarch in the movie.
The film’s release date has been pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
