Met Gala 2023: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has finally made her long-awaited debut at the Met Gala this year. The actress made her grand debut in an astonishingly beautiful white pearl gown made by Prabal Gurung.
Taking to her Instagram account Alia shared the inspiration behind her look and wrote, “Met Gala — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look.”
Alia further revealed that her outfit had been mate with 100,000 pearls, she wrote, “I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met.”
Talking about her love for pearls Alia added, “A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair.” Check out her look-
Meanwhile, many fans and Bollywood celebrities showered her post with heart emojis. Praising her Met Gala look a fan wrote, “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HUMAN”, “RETTEIST MET GALA LOOK FROM THE HISTORY OF BOLLYWOOD”, and another user commented, “Looking like princess #angel”.
Meanwhile, apart from Alia Bhatt many other Indian celebrities also made their appearance on the red carpet including Isha Ambani and Bollywood’s desi girl, Priyanka Chopra with her husband Nick Jonas.
Apart from her Met Gala debut, Alia will soon make her Hollywood debut with “Heart Of Stone“, co-starring Hollywood actress Gal Gadot. She will also be seen in Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Apart from this Alia also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh which will also feature veterans Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
