Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are on cloud 9 in their career paths. While Shahid impressed the audience with Kabir Singh, Alia’s avatar as Safina tugged everyone’s heart. The duo was previously seen together in Shaandaar but the film turned out to be a Box Office disaster. But leaving the past behind, the two are coming together again for another film.
According to the reports, Alia and Shahid might collaborate with Karan Johar for a patriotic film. In this new venture of Karan Johar, Shahid will be in a heroic avatar owing to the theme of the movie based on patriotic lines.
The sources revealed, “It has patriotic undertones and will be directed by a debutant. Shahid is a fan of the action genre and is excited about being a part of this film. He needs to bulk up for the part, so the prep will begin a few months before he starts shooting for the film, which is expected to go on the floors in the second half of the year. It is currently in the pre-production stage.”
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is busy shooting for Jersey remake. The movie will release later this year.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her much-awaited movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Post Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia will be seen in Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. The film is slated to release on 4th December 2020.
