2019 was indeed a splendor year for Akshay Kumar. His movies- Mission Mangal, Good Newwz and Housefull 4 performed really well at the Box Office. Now, Khiladi Kumar’s fans are eager to witness his different avatars in his upcoming films- Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, and Bachchan Pandey.
Apart from the upcoming thrillers, Akshay also has period thriller Bell Bottom in his kitty. The movie is said to be set in the 80s and inspired by the true-life, heroic story of an Indian spy.
Now as per the latest reports, the sources say that Vaani Kapoor who was last seen romancing Hrithik Roshan in War will now be sharing the screen space with Akshay Kumar in Bell Bottom. It is because the script of Bell Bottom demanded a fresh pairing; therefore the filmmakers have decided to approach Vaani Kapoor opposite Akshay Kumar.
Talking about Vaani’s role in the film, the sources said, “It is not the usual female lead, a few romantic scenes, and songs. She will play Akshay’s wife and is integral to the story.”
In Bell Bottom, Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of a secret agent and the film is expected to be shot at different locations.
And as per the reports, the film is expected to go on floor in September. But given to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, all the filmmakers have halted shootings and the government has also asked to shut down the theatres.
Post the situation normalizes, the makers of Bell Bottom will start the shooting of the film.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The film was slated to release on 24th March but due to the coronavirus pandemic and urgency of the situation, the makers of the film have postponed its release.
The next official release date of the movie is yet to be announced.
