It is reported that Akshay took home Rs 99 crore for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Bachchhan Pandey’ that also featured Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon. The film was released in March 2022 and turned out to be a major box-office disaster. The total budget of the film was Rs 180 crore, while it earned only Rs 73 crore. Later, the film covered the cost by selling its digital rights.
However, Akshay Kumar’s salary seems to be increasing with every film he is signing. The actor has charged Rs 135 crore for his soon-to-be-released ‘Cinderella’. He will be charging a similar amount for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ as well. Akshay Kumar has taken a great financial strategy. For big banner films, he charges a humungous amount while for some relatively smaller films, he has adopted a hybrid model where he charges a minimum amount as acting fees and then signs a profit-sharing agreement.

His latest film ‘The Gray Man’ is directed by Russo Brothers. ‘The Gray Man’ also features Chris Evans. It has been made with a budget of $200 million and is said to be one of the most expensive films of Netflix. It had a theatrical release in the USA on July 15 and will premiere on Netflix on July 22. This film also marks the Hollywood debut of Tamil actor Dhanush.
